My running training courses are fine for all abilities - as well as helping people to start running (email for details of our next beginners program?) we also work on improving PBs, tackling hilly courses, improving speed and technique and increasing race mileage for more 'seasoned' runners.  The sessions are designed to be fun but challenging, and are specifically built around the group goals each term.
The courses also include training programmes and 'homework' if you'd like them!
See FAQs for more details!

I am a fully qualified coach in endurance running and CRB checked by UK Athletics.  As a qualified personal trainer and Pilates teacher, I also have a wealth of experience of other fitness activites to add to the mix!  I am supported by eight qualified UKA running leaders so we can really tailor the sessions to match your ability level.  The groups are registered with Run England, who offer free membership, so sign up now!

Sessions must be paid in advance to ensure your place is held for you.  Please get in touch for term dates!

OK, so what happens?

Whether you've never run before, or run ten miles five times a week, there will be something here to benefit you!  The sessions are based around carefully designed drills, and challenges so that all levels and abilities are included.  It's not just about going out running round the village for an hour (you don't need a coach to do that, after all!), it's a carefully designed programme that works on each aspect of fitness that affects your running style and speed.  To start with you'll not run for longer than a few minutes if you don't want to!

See also my blog post on what we don't do!

In addition, we also do an endurance run each week on a Weds and a Sunday - these are completely FREE and open to all.  The Weds sessions meet at Swavesey, and we usually arrange a 5k and longer route.  The Sunday social sessions go to different villages each week, and tackle routes of all distances (from beginners up to half marathon).  These sessions will always have a training run appropriate for Ely NYE 10k, Cambourne 10k and also the Cambridge Half (as appropriate through the year).  The Sunday sessions are announced each Friday on the Fen Edge Runners facebook page, so please 'like' it to stay in touch with where we might turn up.

Well behaved kids, buggys and friendly dogs welcome - just let me know what to expect!

Coached training sessions run on Thursday 6:30pm in Cottenham and Tuesday 6:30pm in Over.
Endurance sessions are Wednesday 6:30 in Swavesey, Friday 6:30 in Over, Sunday 10am (various locations)
