I love a good success story! And today I have two for you.....
You'll remember my last post about not 'looking like a runner'? Just been speaking to 'Fred' (names changed to protect the innocent <grin>) who congratulated me on getting his wife running. Apparently she 'doesn't look like a runner' and he 'never thought she would do it'. We always knew she could, but the hardest thing was convincing her of this - she was sure that it was beyond her and told me on week two (and pretty much weekly thereafter!) she'd never make it to the end.
She did.
Can't help feeling slightly smug on her behalf....

And then there's Alex (on the left). Here's what she had to say: Last Sunday I completed my very first half marathon. I am mega proud and really grateful to Clare for offering the '0 - 5km in 8 weeks' classes. Without you Clare I would have not even thought about running any distances, let alone preparing for my 2nd half and potentially the VLM in April. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. There you have it. We rock. But don't just take my word for it, or 'Fred' or Alex. Come and see for yourself and see what *you* can achieve! Our 0-5k programmes are COMPLETELY FREE with no catches or small print! You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain.... Look out for our next 'pop up' running group in a village near you! |
