I wonder sometimes if I was brave or foolish to give up my 'proper', well-paid, good prospects, very enjoyable IT job. Whether this is all a bit risky. Whether I'm simply ungrateful for what I had, and whether that really annoys those that I now compete against in another, less well-paid, less good prospects industry.
I don't have time to start up all the start-ups.
And so the little pot of good ideas stays in my head.
Take my latest venture as an example - I came up with the concept two years ago, sorted staffing 18 months ago, and I registered the domain/Facebook one year ago. But I've only just got round to actually launching it (on Sunday to be precise...) and then only by coincidence.
I have books I want to write. Ones that will be popular and are much needed in the industry.
I have franchises to expand.
I have new business ideas that I need to get out there.
How do I make the time to do it? Why am I not content with one business (that's doing very nicely thanks)?
